    Your niece will have to prove her case (i.e. specific days & # of
    hours worked). You get to refute her claims.

    My$0.02: The fact that she has waited 6 years to make her claim
    shows her claim is bogus. Call her bluff. Since this is a family
    member: Seems to me your niece "volunteered" to help you in your
    business out of her sense of obligation & not wanting to be a
    free-loader. Seems to me you gifted her with food and shelter.
    That would be my story.
