Post: Diversion Program

Posted by Anthony on 9/01/06
When I was 16 I went through a diversion program for petty
theft. I was put in hand cuffs by the store where this had
occurred. To my knowledge I did not get a mistermeaner due
to the diversion program which I completed.
I am now 23 filling out a job application, it reads, "In
the last 7 years have you been arrested for, charged with,
or convicted of any offences?" Am I required to disclose
the situation?
I have been instructed to bring the application with me to
begin work, in another state. If I begin employment, and a
few days or weeks later I am fired for not passing a back
ground check (for the same petty theft), in future
applications when asked if I have been fired, would this
fall into that category?
