Post: Performance Reviews

Is there any law in NY that requires a company to give their employees a copy of reviews at the time they are written ? I found another job after my boss had me sign my review (was good review too), but would not give me a copy of it and also because a co-worker was really upset because she said our boss forged this co-workers signature on her review. I felt this mgr was dishonest, but I didn't tell anyone at that company this or why I left that job. Years later, tried to get a copy for job seeking, but the company now says it's lost. Why would they not want to give me a copy of a good review ? Thanks in advance.
