Start looking for a new job. You didn't inform the owner
that you objected to his use of that word nor were you
retaliated against for "opposing discrimination in the
workplace" subsequent to complaining about his comment. You
just quit. I agree entirely that his comment was despicable
but you have no legal recourse.
