My husband's ex emailed me that she and my
doctor's "nurse" discussed that I was a patient and that
the nurse and the physician had negative words to say
about me. I informed the physician and requested follow
up in regards to protecting my PHI thus forward and
diciplining the employee, if not terminating her. She
assured me she would call me, she hasn't. I contacted the
privacy officer and asked for all employee counseling on
HIPAA and reassurance retaliation wouldn't occur. No
response. I am so angry, suing is in my thoughts.
