You don't say the exact date of your appeal. The office of appeals rarely
give continuances to fund representation. If you are unsucessful in getting a
rep, there are a couple of resources.

Win Your Unemployment Appeal in California (this appears to be specific to
California)

Win your Unemployment Compensation claim. (A bit older but cover al 50
states.)
