Falsifying your time card is typically grounds for immediate termination anywhere. Whether you made an honest mistake or purposefully padded your time and pay is up to your employer to decide. If your employer has elected to terminate your employment and has shared the reason with your co-workers, they may. It may be unprofessional of him to do so but no laws require that the reason for an employee's separation be kept confidential.
