    Back in the 70's a person was given the choice of Prison or
    service. In the 90's a criminal record even Misdimenour bared
    entry. But I remember the Marines would allow a person in even
    if a weapons confiction was on the record. The stipulation was
    job could not have any weapon (such as cook) Special permission
    was needed by some commander ect. Ask the recruiter Dont tell
    your name to him though. Then go to another one with the
    information gained.
