Help!!!I recently lost my wallet,needed to replace my
license.I live in Austin Texas,I left NY 35 years ago
after I had some tickets,my dad paid for then I moved to
Pa. with my mom.Well now I go to the Texas DMV to get a
replacement license and they tell me I have a hold on me
and I need to call NY.The hold is from 1974 and it is not
for unpaid ticket,but for a civil fine of $300.00,WTF,I
cannot belive that this law was on the books in 1974.Can
anybody help me with options?What is this driver
responsibility act and how can I fight it or do I just
give up and pay the fine that is three times the cost of
the ticket.Thanks Ed.
