    Post: Administrative Levy For Support

    Posted by Steve on 3/17/07

Has anyone fought an administrative levy by a foreign state
affecting property in the home state where joint account
holder (an innocent third party that is not responsible for
the unpaid support) was forced to defend the levy in the
foreign state? This has become a vexing problem for a pro
    bono client I represent.

I feel that this has basic personal jurisdiction problems
and it violates the federal and home state constitutions. It
also seems that there would be legal recourse against the
foreign state in courts in the home state. Any thoughts?
