My ex-husband committed suicide last Thursday, 11-15 in NC
while having Physical Custody of our daughter. Luckily, he
left our daughter with my Mother a few hours before topping
himself. However, his sister came form Michigan before I
could get to my daughter as I was in DC and his sister took
custody of my daughter. I now have an emergency custody
order form the state of NC and have been told that the
Waterford Michigan police cannot enforce the order because
of jurisdiction. What about my order, parental rights,
UCCJA laws? Because she's a family member, this changes
everything. Because we are in a jurisdictional nightmare,
this changes everything. What can I do?

I have an Emergency Custody Order in NC to serve in MI, 11/21/07, by Desi.
