Post: Conflict of Interest?

in late January we had a Friend of the Court hearing
regarding Custody, & child Support issues. A temp
recommendation was made at that time as to Parenting time,
however Child support was not determined but submitted for
discovery & review. As it is now june and this issue is not
resolved, I did some research and found out that the
"referee" the presided over our case actually worked for the
defendents attorney for (6) years and is also endorsed by
this same attorney in her campaign for circuit judge. It
automatically raised red flags with me. Was this infact a
conflict of interest?
