Post: Losing my Freedoms for serving

Posted by Phillip on 8/06/08

Recently separated from the Army, honorable discharge, I
have several issues with my children and my own lifestyle
that need some resolutions. During my term I was denied any
reductions because of my earning capacity. I now have a 50k
lien on myself, have been paying since I joined the
military, just not able to pay the amount they wanted. After
2 months out of the Army, they are now going to pull any and
all licenses I could possibly have. I can't get a home or
rental apartment because of the credit situation I know
endure. My wife, step-son, and I are forced to live with
friends as my wife tries to get back into the workforce
after 2 years of back problems and having back surgery this
past May. I am just beginning the process to see my oldest 2
boys who are being kept from me, because I haven't been
around for 4 years now. It seems that serving my country was
a fatal mistake for me, as I have lost or losing everything
because I chose to serve. Any advice would be welcome.
