Generally speaking, any time Immigration requests an interview, it's not really a request. Ha ha. You should be treating it as a mandatory interview. Even if they ask you to come in with your finger up your nose, it would be best for you to comply. One misstep with Immigration can really confuse the entire process. I'm confused about the I-485. Did that get approved without ever having an interview? That's incredibly odd. Especially post-September 11.
