I am a naturalized U S citizen.About 3 years ago I married
a foreign-born woman who just moved near me from Oklahoma.I
thought she was in love with me. However, I found out later
that her only interest in the marriage was for me to
provide her a green card.In other words, it was a sham
marriage for her!!In fact she had married a man in Oklahoma
for a green card, but when it did not work out she decided
to move here to California...near me!!!I had confronted her
about my findings & had informed the lawyer I had hired to
guide the adjustment process, that I was withdrawing from
the representation.As a result of this , she had started
to really abuse me in my own apartment. I asked her several
times to move out but she refused to .I have lately
discovered that she is trying so hard to set me up for a
VAWA (abused spouse)immigration benefits.I am in the
quandry. I do not abuse her at all, infact the reverse is
really the case!! She is so angry about my discovery & that
I have refused to continue to file for an adjustment of
status for her.Sometimes, I feel that this woman is capable
of killing me! She is that desperate!!!Could somebody
Please advise me on what I should do to stop this woman????
I do not have enough resouces to find another apartment at
this time.I have lived here for 10 years. Everything I have
said can easily be proven!
