Post: H1 B non-profit to for profit

Hi,

I have been working for a non-profit organization and have
a H1-B through them. I never applied to the regular
commercial H1. I was wondering if I can just transfer this
non-profit H1 to a commercial company. I have a couple of
friends who managed to do this but I am not 100% sure if
they were just overlooked. Please share your experiences
and thoughts.
