Based on the lack of responses to this question, apparently
going to a non ABA program means little to nothing when
compared to going to an ABA program. You will face the same
obstacles, no more or less.
I am attending a non ABA school and I'm interested in patent
law. My area of specialty will be computer science. I have
a BS in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science and an MS
in Computer Science. I also have over 20 years of technical
experience. I will be taking the PTO exam as well. From
what I hear from the different patent attorneys, technical
experiences matters more at first than what law school you
go to. After you have been practicing for a number of
years, no one cares where you went to school, especially if
you're a good lawyer.
