In 2010, I retained an attorney for a divorce, I owned a
home, my utilities, & car payment were current.I arrived
home from an 8 wk internship in DC & the utilizes were shut
off in the marital property.In 4 mo my car was repossessed
& in 5 mo I was served with foreclosure papers.At 1 point I
didn’t have a car to look for work or attend school, I
asked her several times to file a contempt order & I was
ignored.I tried to contact her senior partners & inform
them about my living conditions & my phone calls were
intercepted & I was told if I tried to contact her senior
partners again she would remove herself as my attorney &
most of my retainer fee was gone.My X is a trust fund baby
he was ordered to make the house payments ect.Ultimately I
was coerced into to signing off on the final divorce
agreement.After service of foreclosure papers she did give
me an address to a suicide prevention center conveniently
located near the law firm.“I am requesting you to; (1) file
a contempt order against the Respondent for default on the
car payment; and (a) the order for lien on his bank account
for payments not made (3 months behind);and(b) in the event
my car is repossessed due to the Respondent’s negligence;(c)
I want the Respondents truck delivered to me…” “…the
Respondent must pay all the attorney’s fees for this action
due to his negligence; (g) cite to §Wis. Stat., 785,
punishment; §Wis. Stat., 767.305, enforcement contempt
proceeding; and §Wis. Stat., 767.087 (1)(a) & (3)(a),
harassing or restricting civil liberty loss of car for
school or potential employment..” “ …file a motion for
maintenance; (a) the order for maintenance must be taken
out quarterly before any money is disbursed to the
Respondent from the 2 trust funds…”
