India has recorded an average of 8,000 Americans a week for the past 5 years seeking medical attention. Sweden costs more than the U.S. but they are receiving 2,000 Americans a month for medical treatment. Only Switzerland has reported any decrease of Medical Tourists in the past 10 years. Isreal is the only country where the State Department has attempted directly to prevent medical (and only medical) tourism
