Post: How Insurance Companies Evaluate a Case for Settlement
Posted by Hardy Parkerson on 4/13/06
Dear Counsel.Net Friends, If any of you young lawyers would like one, I will send you a copy of my little paper entitled "How Insurance Companies Evaluate a Case for Settlement Purposes." It's no great scholarly paper, but it's is a nuts-and-bolts practical statement of what I have learned after years of handling personal injury cases: mostly automobile accident and slip and fall (fall down) cases. If you would like a copy, either e-mail me your mailing address to hparkerson@cox-internet.com or mail it to me at my office at 3309 Common Street, Suite B; Lake Charles, Louisiana 70601. And if you have something you have written, a copy of a brief or a lawsuit that you would like to share with me, I'd love to have a copy of it to study, just for what I can learn. I've been at it for forty years this coming June 1, and I still learn new lessons in law and law practice every day. That's why they call it "law practice": for we are always practicing, getting ready for the game. We never master the game, just practice it and play it; and sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. You can't win 'em all! There is more to it all than this, but this is something to think about. Sincerely, Hardy Parkerson, Atty.
