I have a client who was hurt while staying at a "Courtyard
by Marriott" in Ecuador. She slipped and fell. She has
some serious injuries. Anyway, she lives in Southern
California. Since this incident happened at a Marriott
(albeit in Ecuador), can I file suit against Marriott in
California? Will they fight the venue...and on what
grounds? Never had this situation before so input from
colleagues is appreciated.
