A collection agency called about a credit card debt my son
had.I told them he was on ssi for a mental impairment and I
was the payee for his check.I made arrangements to pay
$433.00 setlement in 2 payments.I mailed a certified letter
with a money order to them for $200.00.I got a call after
they received the m/o and they told me his account had
been taken over by adifferent employee and that the 1st
agreement was not valid.They Demanded I pay the
whole$433.00 right then with check by phone or they would
turn his account over to the city attorny and sue him.I
tryed to explain there was noway I could pay this amount in
full because it would take his whole ssi check.and I
couldnt pay it out of my ssi check either,that I had to pay
my own rent and bills.The lady got really ugly and just
said well ok then we will proceed .There is something wrong
here I just feel it.I dont trust these people.They wont
send me proof of the bill or a written agreement.HELP i
dont know what to do.Thanks
