I sent personal mail from my office to a personal friend
I put the company name and address with my name for the
return address rather than my home address.

The envelope was returned to my office by the post office.
Either lack of postage, or wrong address
My supervisor opened the envelope, threw away the contents and
directed me not to use the company address for the return
address

Is that legal?
