    Post: Mail Tampering

Posted by JM Edwards on 2/24/06

Someone recently went online and put a hold on my mail
with the USPS electronically without my knowledge or
consent. Evidently all a peron needs is a name and an
address to go on their website in order to do this. After
three days with no mail I checked with my local post
office to discover that this was the case. Although there
was really no harm done other than the inconvenience, I do
have reason to believe that someone I know may be playing
around with me. Is this considered mail tampering? if so,
    how could it be proven?
