For over a year now a close friend of mine has seemed to turn on me. I have not attempt to approach him about this subject for legal reasons, I have simply stayed quiet. This subject has made several defimating comments to my friends and co-workers about my lifestyle. I have reframed from acting on the defimating comments and have not retaliated in anyway, shape or form.

-My question is, how should I go about making sure these comments stop?
-What will a court ordered restraining order do?
-Will this subject be punished for making these defimating comments about me and my lifestyle?
-What other legal action can be taken or should be taken?
