Adverse possession is not paying taxes on a property for
mere 5 years. You must occupy the property out in the open
(notorious) adverse to the TRUE owners property rights. In
other words Squater rights. The statutory limit varies from
state to state from 15 - 20 -30 years. If the True owner
(one that has superior title) grants you permission Adverse
possession is not adverse. The whole theory can not be
    used.
