Post: Heir of vacant land cannot be found

One of several heirs to a vacant lot cannot be located.
The remaining heirs want to sell the property. How can
this be accomplished. Does a public notice of some type
need to be posted in a newspaper of the last known city
the heir resided in? Can their share of the property be
deposited into an account till they are found/or appear?

Any input re this situation would be appreciated.
