Post: medical transcriptionist to court reporter?

Is there anyone who has made such a transition and would
be willing to discuss this with me? After 14 years as an
MT, I need to be proactive about finding a new field. The
encroachment of voice recognition software and offshore
outsourcing is drying up this profession. Training in your
field seems long and expensive but I am seriously
considering it. Would appreciate some dialog with anyone
offering good advice. Particularly interested in input on
various schools/courses to investigate or to avoid like
the plague. Thanks in advance.
