Post: Taking contract work as day job

I recently became licensed in Colorado and my ultimate
career goal is to do lobbying or legislative policy, but I
need to support myself while I gain volunteer experience in
those areas. I've been networking to find contract work in
whatever areas I can. How should I determine what to
charge? Do you have any other suggestions for me?
