    Post: MVA Question

    Posted by Rich on 6/07/05

I am currently in litigation on a MVA that I was involved
in. The driver of the car rear ended me and admitted
fault. The owner of the car was not present at the time of
the accident but she owned the vehicle. During the
depostion my attorney and I were notified that she left
the country and returned to her home land. The driver of
the vehicle, her ex-boyfriend is also not a US citizen.

My question is this: When and if my law suit goes to trial
and the driver at that time does leave the country.
Although the car that hit me did have insurance. And if I
do win my case, will her insurance carrier still have to
pay compensation (lost wages, pain and suffering from my
    injury and knee operation)?
