Post: how much is my case worth for me, the injured worker?

Posted by mujer32backinjured on 6/16/09

    Hi,
I would like to know how much my case is worth for me,
    the injured worker.

    This is what I know:

My case was decided by a jugde, the judge gave 58%
disability in back. 19% disability in psychology. Future
medical treatment. Dr. says I may have another fusion in
the back, and removal hardware, in total two more
surgeries, and also treatments every time needed.

This is what the findings and award says. I am a 32
yeard old woman, got injured in 2002 march, had had a
surgery lower back fusion with hardware and
instrumentation, disc replacement too, in the same
    surgery.

Now, I do not know how much is my case worth , lawyer is
telling me something i do not understand.

Do I have to receive whatever the insurance has to give
me, or should I claim the firs request we made, what does
    this mean.

Any help will be appreciate it, I am a person in need
of information so I can defend myself against this unfair
    situation.

    Thanks
