Post: Workers Comp Settlement offer

Posted by David on 10/17/09

I am in SC to start with. On 4/1/09 I cut my hand at work
cause tendon on the top part of my middle finger to be
severed. I have a 13 percent disability rating on this
finger and a 4 percent rating on the hand. I was laid off
two days before I was supposed to go back to work, thats
when my weekly payments stopped luckly I obtained work 20
days later. The IC made me a offer yesterday of 8000 and
some change to include the repayment of time lost between
jobs. They also stated that they doubled my disability
ratings to get to that figure. I Can not do what I used to
with this hand and do have nerve damage as a result of this
injury. Is this a fair number or should I fight for more?
