Post: Death at work

Posted by Coachswife on 10/11/05
My husband was a basketball coach. One day in practice he was one player short so he filled in during the workout. He didn't normally play he only instructed. This day was an exception due to being one player short. He collasped on the gym floor and died of a heart attack. My attorney filed for workers comp and they offered a $7500 settlement. I am desperately in need of funds now because all of my bills are delinquent. My husband had no insurance. He was only employed part time by the school. Is there a fund that maybe I could borrow from to help me get on my feet or do I have to just settle for pennies to keep from losing everything.
