Post: they offered for herniated disk

Thought someone might want to know what I was offered for my settlement. I've had 3 back surgeries and have three lower disks removed. I have rods and screws in my back and also have sciatic nerve damage on both sides. I have been on pain meds for over 5 years now and I'm unable to work and collect social security. Workers comp. insurance has offered me a settlement of $17.000 thousand recently. I hired the best lawyer after much research and was told we can do a little bit better then that, but keep in mind that social security will get some of my settlement to be put aside for future medical that may be needed on my back and then my lawyer gets his share. Boy if I can only go back to work, don't expect to get rich off a workers comp. case. they also take in what they already paid for you medical, prescriptions and what they paid you every 2 weeks. Keep in mind they DO NOT pay for pain and suffering. Good Luck folks
