What about paying the fees up front instead of tooling
around since July waiting until the court date? That would
demonstrate good faith. As it is whoever is in violation if
the fees aren't paid and probably for some other stuff.
I dunno about Texas but here when a guy violates and you
cause all the probation officers and etc to show up in court
a lot of times the recommendation is more jail and the
judges almost always follow along-as the standard is
preponderance they do not have a lot to prove. A lot of
times people just throw in the towel and say "Let me do my
time and get it over with."
Chances are unless your friend is a real bad person and
there's something you haven't told us he can stipulate to
the violation, get sentenced to time served on the probation
violation and get released but do not be surprised if they
extend his probation period.
