You dont mention whether or not you were convicted of the offense you were arrested on. In most states it is illegal to discriminate based on an applicants arrest record. With respect to your unemployment claim, the employer is not the one who determines whether or not you receive benefits. The state does. You or the employer may appeal to an administrative law judge or hearing officer if you disagree with the initial determination. I suspect there is an issue regarding your honesty. Good luck to you.
