    maybe not. generally, your "contract" give you a right to
    reimbursement until the statute of limitations expires (and
    the statute may be longer than 14 months). plus, some state
    laws require expenses to be reimbursed.

    so, even if inconvenient to your ex-employer, they may
    contractually (or by statute) owe you the reimbursement.

    so: now you're a creditor! good luck collecting!
