    Post: Termination Federal Employee

    Posted by Enquiringmind on 4/16/08

I was recently terminated from my federal job, because my
mgr said I committed a 1203b violation(did not pay taxes
timely). The investigation into this was done in 2003,
after I filed an EEO against my mgr, the case was settled
in my favor. Retaliation was done, but surprisingly EEo's
Dallas ofc has no proof it was filed. I was injured on the
job 1/07 & while on leave, was reinterviewed for the '03
case. Received a letter of adverse action in 11/07, had 7
days to reply. I replied timely (certified return
receipt). Never received a response from employer. Sent
another certified letter in 2/08. When mgr did not
respond, I faxed a letter to the Director(verified with
his asst that it was received, had 2nd party on line),
with copies of all certified correspondence, informing him
that I could not get a response from my mgr. The next day
UPS left an envelope with a ltr from the Director that I
was terminated effective the same day, because I did not
reply to the ltr of proposed adverse action timely,(he did
not acknowledge copies of return receipts) in addition to
the 1203b violation. Where can I find court actions of
cases wherein federal employees were terminated for 1203
violations? Also unlawful terminations? Any suggestions of
how to get legal help on a pro bono basis (no income for a
    yr)?
