    Unless you wish to be terminated for insubordination, yes, you are required to
    pass along any information and documentation your employer requests. FYI,
    your employer does not need "cause" to change job responsibilities. I presume
    they have what they believe is a good business reason however. The employer
    has full authority and responsibility to assign work and change work
    assignments any time they wish.

    My suggestion is to do as your employer requests, the sit tight and see what
    happens next. Perhaps they have something else in mind for you. If so, it's
    unfortunate they haven't taken the time to explain that to you.
