    Post: Ethics violation

Posted by Michelle Latka on 10/31/02

I filed a complaint with the Michigan Grievance Comm. in
March 2001, against my husbands Attorney for possible
ethic violations.First was NO CONTRACT on contigency
fee, second was ,as per Attorney, had verbal agreement with
a medically mental diabled person, was cohersed into
signing settlement agreement due to our financial
situation. The Attorney said he would not release the
check he had for back pay from the company until
settlement was reached.I won my case against him just
recently, but the Grievance Comm. will not release the
outcome to me until the Attorney reissues the $1000.00
check he voluntarily gave to "show he was a nice guy" and
as per agreement with the Comm.for private centure.I have
been to 3 different malpractice Attorneys' they all say we
have a case but no one will take it due to conflict of
interest. Now time is running thin. I have basically done
my research & I'm going to attempt "PRO SE".Due to time
limit of 2 years up on Nov.18.is breach of contract
plausible here? If so that gives me 4 more years. Help!
