Post: Challenging Paternity With Acknowledgement form
Posted by ZILLY on 7/29/05
Hello, My ex-husband and I signed an Acknowledgement of Paternity form when our child was born. Years later, we both believe the child to be someone else's. There is an open support case as well. I would like to know how we can go about challenging paternity. I called the child support office in Pittsburgh, they told me if he files, he would have to pay for all the testing. If I filed, I would only pay if the child turned out not to be his. Now I'm told this isn't true! What is the case? What are the rules in regards to challenging paternity in PA?
