When you engaged your attorney, you probably signed a contract
with him. The document might have been entitled "Warrant of
Attorney," or something of that kind. I recommend that you
consult the document, and determine what it says about this
kind of situation.
Ethics rules vary from state to state. I don't know what
state you're in, but I'd guess that your attorney does not
have the right to take positive steps to retard your business
or to impair your interest. On the other hand, you can hardly
expect him to work for you, unless you pay him for his work.
