You need > to do this ASAP. Before you jump the gun and file a complaint, see what the local rules governing contingency retainer agreements are in your state. While most states do prohibit cash and car advances such as the ones made by your attorney as they are unethical, states such as CA do allow for contingency retainer agreements to provide for whatever the paties decide, even if it is 50%.
