    I am assuming the reference you made to "my record" means your
    credit record.

    Contact each credit bureau at their respective web sites (you
    may be able to do this in one fell swoop) and file a dispute.
    Each web site provides instructions and a form for the dispute.

    Before you file the dispute, get your free credit report
    available to everyone annually - you may also be entitled to a
    free one because of the denied application, which would allow
    you to avoid using the annual one. With the credit report, you
    can verify the problem and subsequently refer to it in your
    dispute.
