My husband has a Medtronics Spinal Stimulator in him now and
not only has it done nothing to relieve his pain, it is very
painful around at the stimulator site and also where it was
previously implanted. He had shocking type pain after the
first time implanted; then after second it does not cover
the area of his before imploant pain. He has had three
operations and now has a $100,000 unit in him that he can't
even turn on. The doctor has now postponed his visit until
January; leaving him in very serious pain. We want to have
it removed but have heard that removal can cause paralysis.
He says it sometimes burns so bad at the site he can hardly
stand it. The trial was wonderful and I'm beginning to
wonder if an LESI was used during the trial to temporarily
stop the pain. Don't know what to do.
