Hi I know what your going through im 36 yrs old I have Lupus and was
giving prednisone to help treat a flare. I was on prednisone for
over a year. I opposed this and was told that I would be going
against medical advice and would have problems with my insurance if
i'm refusing care. I also was told that I could create problems if I
were to abruptly discontinue the medicine. I complained with tears
in my eyes regarding severe pain in my calves they only did
ultrasounds. Not once was I giving a bone density test. There
response to me was that they believe that I'm chasing prescription
drugs and they wouldn't give me pain meds outside of the ones they
were giving me that didn't work. So I asked to be taken off the
morphine. They told me i would get sick if i stop taking it and go
through withdraws. Needless to say after almost a year of searching
and complaining I finally was able to get a new doctor and after the
first visit I was told that I have avascular necrosis. I have since
had my knee and hip replaced and I still need my knee done and soon
will need a hip according to doctors. I'm still in great pain and
its hard to get answer or the doctors to pay attention. email me
