    Possibly. If he can prove to a court that he has openly used
    the property, did not have permission to use the property and
    his use was continuous. (not interrupted by the owner of
    record.) However, if the owner of record will sell for
    $1,000 it might not be worth the expense of bringing an
    action for adverse possession in a court.
