What did CPS determined? Were charges file? Were you
convicted of abuse? Is there a police record? Yes, you can
sue but what do you stand to gain - peace of mind? Even if
you sued and won, what would you be asking for?
Bottom line is this: You must *prove* that he slandered you;
witnesses subpeoned, affidavits filed, etc. You have an
uphill battle to fight and if you do plan to go ahead with
the charges, you need to consult with an attorney. He/she
will tell you if you have a case or not.
Unfortunately, slander (spoken word) suits are extremely hard
to prove and little, if any, $$$ is ever awarded.
