Post: workmans comp

Posted by brooksee2 on 8/05/09
My son hurt himself on the job July 22nd. On the morning of July 23rd he went to his employer and filled out the paperwork for workman's comp. To his understanding they were filing the paperwork for him and that he could go to the doctors and they would bill workman's comp. Well just today he went to see a specialist and they sent him to physcial therpary. The physcial therpary office called him this afternoon and told him that workman's comp was never filed and that they will not accpet payment straight from the company. This also means that he is not getting paid thru workman's comp for his time off work. Does he have any stand against them if he was to get an attorney?
