I had a serious work related car accident over a year
ago. I had 5 major fractures in my pelvis, reinjured my
back (had previous surgery) broke a rib, puctured a lung
and had a concusion. I have a friend who is a surgeon, he
told me my imparement rating, if he were rating me, would
be in the 12%- 15% range. I have asked a million people,
it seems like, but can get no idea what this may equate
to. I do not have an attorney and don't want to get one.
At the same time I don't want to go into the settlement
with no idea of what I should look for. I have been told
I will have arthritis,I will need a hip replacement at
some point, and may eventually need to have a fusion for
my back. Additionally, I cannot participate in anything
that involves any impact. Can anyone give me even a
little bit of an idea of what type of compensation I might
be offered or what I should look for??
